Show your Neighborhood Pride: Brooklyn Flag Project

You love your hood. You love the community, the architecture, the mom-and-pop shops. Don’t you think it deserves its own flag? Get creative and you could win $1,000 and get your design on Uncommon Goods. We can’t wait to see what the Windsor Terrace flag looks like.

The Sunset Park based online shop just launched the 2014 Brooklyn Flag Project. Brooklynites can submit a design that tells the story of what makes their neighborhood unique. Five finalists will be chosen by a pretty impressive judging panel: former Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, entrepreneur extraordinaire Tina Roth Einsenberg aka SwissMiss, and UncommonGoods CEO David Bolotsky.

Designs can be submitted for any neighborhood in Brooklyn. They should be formatted for 3’x5′. The deadline is July 31st, and finalists will be chosen in early August. For more info, please visit the Brooklyn Flag Project on Uncommon Goods.
